Testimonials
Thanks for all the kind words from our clients. We have enjoyed working with each and every one of you.
Marian has spoiled me for any other book designer. She’s so
professional, so knowledgeable, so above-and-beyond, and so committed to a higher standard that I can’t fathom going anywhere else. And she’s
reasonable to boot. That’s a powerful combination that’s not easy to
find. If you want your book to have a fighting chance these days, you
can’t afford to cut corners on design (or ebook conversion). But you CAN
afford Marian, and you’ll get a creative ally who’s not only well
versed in the challenges of small publishers, but who’s operated for
years in the traditional publishing world, and knows what it takes to
compete there.
Roy is a top notch writer/editor/proofer and much more! I’ve worked
with editors in the past that took too much license to change the
written material and others who didn’t do enough to catch every grammar error. I enjoy working with Roy because he catches everything without losing my voice in the midst of it all. He will blow you away with his work ethic... I’d highly recommend Roy’s services.
Marian Hartsough is my go-to resource on anything in the self-publishing industry. Her extensive and comprehensive experience makes her an authority on everything from publishing for profit to typesetting and graphic cover design. She knows how to strategically use books to extend brand reach and visibility, has incredible attention to detail, and is willing to do what’s right, even if it’s a little more work, in a highly responsive turnaround time. Not only has Marian helped with each of my published books but has also helped me with client projects. As a certified book coach and writer, I have the honor of working with amazing authors-to-be, and Marian is the final touch on every one of my clients’ manuscripts as well. I cannot recommend Marian highly enough… if you are planning on being a self-published author, do yourself the favor of investing with Marian. It will pay you back.
Roy and I just finished writing a book together, Cloud Computing Simplified for Small Businesses, and the process was the most efficient, organized, and masterfully coordinated “large project” I have ever undertaken. Roy can produce volumes of outstanding quality printed communication with amazing speed, accuracy, and high impact. Roy is some sort of genius because he learns faster than you can explain a complex topic.
In formatting a new edition of my bestselling biography, Roger Corman: Blood-Sucking Vampires, Flesh-Eating Cockroaches, and Driller Killers, for CreateSpace, I was fortunate to have the services of Marian Hartsough. Marian is a true publishing professional. She has a good eye, a sharp mind, and a willingness to pay attention to detail. Most important of all, she recognizes the love and care we writers put into our work. She was always available when I needed her, accepted last-minute changes with good cheer, and never made me feel I was anything less than smart. Collaborating with Marian is a rare treat.
When writing our first book, Appreciation Marketing, my business partner Curtis Lewsey and I were referred to Marian Hartsough to handle our typesetting. Though we had never met Marian, she came highly recommended among self publishers in the industry.
Curtis and I have high standards and expect the same from all people we do business with. Our goal is to work and associate with people who under-promise and over-deliver. Marian did exactly that. Not only did Marian’s work exceed our expectations, but she offered professional suggestions throughout the entire process that made our book even better. In addition to being polite, professional, and a pleasure to talk with, Marian was also incredibly patient with us during our numerous changes and modifications along the way. Not only will we continue to work with Marian throughout our writing and publishing careers, but we feel 100% confident in referring her to everyone we know. With sincere appreciation & gratitude.
